we have two years to put things right ... or left ... or just a little left ... or .... or ...
More and more, I am delving into the background information on the people at the center of the skirmish. Both sides. All three sides? Four? whatever. Point is, very few of these people are 100% evil or 100% wrong. There is usually an underlying, very real problem that everyone would like resolved ... all sides. Healthcare. Guns. Immigration. Racism/sexism, Jobs, Economy, Security, etc. These are common problems and issues with which we are all concerned. The answers are not easily revealed and the paths are not always shared.
It is our responsibility to unearth the information that will guide us to make the choices and define our preferences as to which direction we want to go. These issues on the table now are very complex and require a broad view. Be prepared. Do some research. Don't rely on MSM.
We have two years to retake both houses and muzzle trump. The supreme and federal courts should aggressively consider all legislation. Its within their power to limit the hysterical and unlawful motions coming out of the White House. Democrats at all levels need to speak out adamantly to support a contemporary, humanist approach to guiding our great society and the GOP must stop or severely limit its blind and obedient endorsements and proposals that instigate myopic and populist, argumentative discourse and extreme nationalist views that further segregate our nation and the world.
I urge everyone to read and understand the very complex issues at stake. Look beyond the attention-grabbing headlines and delve into the details. You'll find that there is more to every story and maybe you don't know everything there is to know about a given subject. I am doing that. The GOP is not 100% wrong ... the Democrats are far from perfect ... and the media is flawed. There is no "one" accurate, completely trustworthy source of information to guide us. It's up to us to separate the facts from the fraud. There is no one solution or answer and most problems and issues do not likely exist independent of others. For example, immigration is not just Mexico; jobs are not just farms or cheap labor; healthcare is not just ACA, and human rights are not just America's rights.
